[(NUB) I Just Can't Win]

Woo!

This song is great. That really sucks someone would throw a 1 at you like that.
Its, of course, bullshit. Scores aren't important anyhow. It does make sure people hear you, which is what should be happening with you...

Now. Onto the song, Actually. I love it. The slow keyed end. The beginning drums that keep you wanting more as they slowly build up, fall out, come back, then blast you. My only thing with this. Is maybe do something with that think sample? I do like the different pitches. I just think it stands out almost too much? Oo! Oo! or have one with a big reverb on it! :D Then again, that may be what you were wanting! Either or, not really a big deal - lovely breaks - Lovely glitches. I like that gated pad that slowly fades in and out.

Oh man, killer7..

Killer7 is one of my favorite games. I imported the soundtrack from japan! This has a very good feel of that game too. In fact, i could see this going along perfectly. Very awesome. Very awesome inspiration. My only problem with the song is that it ends a little abruptly. Nice tunes.

if you were to process that piano some more, add some filters and effects to it, you could really make this stand out much more than it is right now. Throw some reverb on it, a very light delay, turn the highs up a bit, maybe even add a low pass. Thats what i'd do anyhow. However, the composition is really nice. I think it'd sound better on a real piano. (also, i think you should do away with the timed hats at the beginning, the 1-2-3-4) Make that piano stand out!!

Nice playing though. I would've given a 10 if the keys had more of an interesting pretty sound to them (are you using fl it sounds like that fl keys?)

Ya it is FL Studio 8 XXL...
But I'm kinda a noob when it comes to the filters and those 'VST' whatcha ma whosits. I try playing around with the nobs on the FL Keys, but I found the sound got worse... I can play about half the song off by heart already, but the second half gets kinda tricky.

I wont be working on this version anymore, I'm redoing it the way I meant to do it the first time! And this, I've just decided, I will be playing it myself. Unfortunately, real pianos and ( *o*) +*. grand pianos .*+ (*o* ) are just dreams for me. I only have a $5000 Yamaha Clavinova, which is great for recording but yucky to play. Its got the heaviest weight I've ever felt on piano keys and they make a loud clunk sound when they are pressed down fast and hard...

but I wil try pluging in to the midi input in my laptop (cause its the only computer that can reach) and recording it through wires.

well we'll see!

The rest is ok, it reminds of something samus aran from metriod would get down in her space ship. XD

Super spacey, i feel like its missing some beats! or maybe its just supposed to be ambient. I really liked it around 4:16 to the end. Totally filled up space with that sort of gated piano sound. I think you should add that earlier in the song..sort of as another verse or bridge. It just sounds so cool. I keep rewinding to listen to just that bit XD Ah-hah!

hrm, hah, im glad you said something about a melody, i didnt read your comments until a little bit into it. Its techno alright, i dont listen to techno..its rather bland, not say it cant be good. You already said it, it needs a melody because the drums have a decent amount of space to 'em so a nice lifting melody would be great. Definitely put that in there! As much space as it fills..its still not enough. there's still a weird sort of emptiness to the whole song. : (

Fill it in!! then you'd have something worthwhile. Its nothing above average, or wowing. Just sounds like something someone else could use to make loop if they wanted.

Now this is more my style. Love the vg vibe with the breaks..totally awesome. Figured i reviewed two of your other songs, might as well see what the last one held for me. Glad i saved it for last. You grab my 10 and 5. This is great. I love that synthy bass when the great melody comes in at 4:00. How the hell did you get that, i love its sound so muuuuchhhh. Faaackkk. This is great. Can you tell i'm writing this as it goes? hah...

Everything rolls out greatly. Keep this up man, wold love to hear some more of your style in this. You have nice changes just when it calls for them.

As far as how I got that bass, I tweaked around with the Quantum 64 vsti, that's one of my main choice instruments for when I make dnb basslines, besides claw, and a few others.

Niiiice. Love that pounding. Something i can definitely see people getting wild to. You seem to have a little more style than some of the others around here. Dirty, grity, etc. I told you that on the other song too, hah. Its nice though. Love when it breaks down into the voice then comes back into that sort of slow midi video game melody, very nice break from the beat. cool stuff! Its nice to hear a song of this type go through some changes. Man, i could see an awesome IDM remix to this. Sort of like a venetian snares vibe...especially of his collab with stuntrock on his "fuck canada fuck america" album...anyhow! Woo!

Yeah, I've been getting alot of positive feedback on this track, even though it was something I threw together to get the floor testing started on this site.

My main focus on this track was to make something that keeps changing, cuz I noticed with how hardstyle is normally written it goes something like...

-mix intro
-main lead
-short break down
-mainlead additive
-main breakdown followed with build
-climax
-breakdown back to lead
-mainlead
-mixing outro

so when it came for the stereo typical breakdown back to lead, I changed it up with a different attitude, I used the same instrument however (obviously). Tried to keep it fresh as possible to keep from boring a listener and break away from some routine floor filler that alot of hard dance producers fall victim to doing nowadays.

I dont generally listen to this style of electronic music - but you've got something catchy going on here. I like the noises and sounds. It all sounds very gritty and dirty and i like that. : D was rocking to the melody after 3:00 in. Nice stuff! Woot woot!

I'm into the dirtier and trancier side when it comes to hardstyle, so I stay true to myself when it comes to its creation. I notice alot of the newer stuff sounds too much like nustyle hardcore, though I don't mind the swing signiture that's more dominant nowadays, it's just the attitude and the scales, and even how its written that gets to me.

So I say fuck the status quo, I'll do it my way.
